• When Grandma got Sick
My daughter, Stephanie, who was seven-years-old at the time, had a special relationship with her grandmother. They seemed to hit it off right from the beginning. My mom, when she was well, taught Steph and our other children how to play Go Fish, Rummy, Rook, and of course Old Maid. "When Grandma got Sick" is the story of how Steph spent much of her time playing Old Maid with her grandmother during the last few months of her grandmother's life. "When Grandma got Sick" has now been published in the Friend magazine--February 2002.
